 Desk Lamp Suitable For Any Room December 21, 2008

Wow, I am totally impressed with this particular desk lamp for its given price. Not only is the light bright and clear, but the lamp itself is very modern and flexible - features you would typically find in more expensive models, etc. Overall, its price yields great value. Hence, I highly recommend you give this particular desk lamp a try.

While the quality of construction befits the low price, this product is useful and is certainly a great purchase for it's utilitarian qualities. The light is somewhat on the blue-white end of the spectrum, but is not unbearably harsh (though that "chrome" diffuser is a bit sub par). Nor is there any noticeable hum or flicker. The base could have been a little more secure to make adjustments smoother.
Overall: 4/5 for getting the job done for cheap.
UPDATE: The swivel mount of the base is off-center, and made of somewhat soft plastic. Predictably, it has torn through the part to which the power cord attaches and now will not stand vertically. I can't use this thing as a adjustable desk lamp anymore, which rather defeats the purpose.

Somewhat flimsy and not too good for reading, but OK as background lighting for my computer desk at night.
Also it's quite lousy at diffusing the light, so I ended up placing a sheet of paper between the bulb and plastic grid in front of it. Since the bulb is halogen I hope it won't heat up too much.

The lamp is stable and reasonaby attrractive. It is easily adjustable and holds adjustments well. The only thing that kept this from being a five star review is the chrome plastic light diffuser which is not well fitted to the lamp. For the price this is an excellent value.
